13 books and scripts read
I read a baker's dozen this month. Funny, as I'm currently re-reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher in honor of the Netflix original series debuting today. I read the book prior to its publication ten years ago, and I look forward to watching the show this weekend. This month's stand-out read is Here We Are: Feminism for the Real World edited by Kelly Jensen, which features pieces from 44 different contributors, including illustrators, musicians, novelists, dancers, and leaders. The book is filled with personal stories and encouragement from people from all around the world at all different stages of their lives and their careers. My favorite essay in the collection was penned by Courtney Summers. Check out more books I'm looking forward to reading this year: 7 Books in 2017 and Forthcoming Releases. |
