This month's standout was Johannes Cabal the Necromancer by Jonathan L. Howard. In this darkly humorous fantasy novel, Johannes has one year to gather one hundred souls in order to reclaim his own - all while managing a twisted traveling carnival and its employees, most of whom are undead or unreal.
